Chances are that if you live on a two-story home, you have stairs and possibly a balcony, and what 99% of those integral parts of your home have, is a structure called “Railing”, that ultimately protects users from falling down the stairs or of the balcony. It gives that much needed added protection to residents.
By default, most homes will have a stone, wooden or simple – and sometimes flimsy – metal railing that protects people going up and down on the stairs, or roaming around a balcony. Those will have near the same functionality of stone or wooden railings. They will protect you, but they will not always look as good as modern glass railings can, and will not offer as nearly as the same protection the glass railing system will do.
Glass railings will give you that added protection to your heightened areas, specially if you have small children and pets. Glass Railings will, most of the times, cover the entire area, leaving no gaps where children and animals can stick their heads, or sometimes even their entire bodies out, like a traditional railing would allow them to do.
You can split glass railings in two major groups: Interior and Exterior.
Exterior Glass Railings can be Standoff Glass Railing, Exterior Frameless Railings and Exterior Post Railings.
Interior Railings have similar options in essence: Interior Post Railings and Frameless Interior Railings. You can also install Standoff Glass Railings in interiors.
Exterior Frameless Railings
This railing system gives the ‘all glass’ frameless look. These railings are dependent on the massive tensile strength of the aluminum “shoe” base and available in 1/2″ or 3/4″ glass thicknesses Sometimes called a seamless glass fence, these railings deliver unobstructed view, and also act as good noise and wind barrier. When combined with certified laminated and tempered glass this railing system will meet the building codes for hurricane impact resistance.
Exterior Post Railing
Our exterior post railing is a painted aluminum framing system combined with 3/8″ or 1/2″ tempered safety glass. It’s great for windbreaks, pool deck surrounds, outdoor seating areas, and patios. I comes in seven standard painted finishes or can be custom painted in a color of your choice, and a choice of square or round cap rails. This railing system can also be used for a stainless steel cable system instead of glass.
Hurricane Railings
The aluminum and glass railing system is designed to meet the most demanding performance requirements for areas exposed to hurricanes and other severe weather conditions.
Frameless Interior Railings
This glass railing system gives the ‘all glass’ frameless appearance. It’s great for a staircase and balcony when you want a sleek elegant look. This railing system is installed using a heavy glass shoe made of aluminum and 1/2″ tempered safety glass. We offer several types of cap rails and metal finishes for you to chose.
Interior Post Railings
Post railings combine the durability of stainless steel components with innovative designs and engineering. Designed for interior hand rail and guard rail applications, we offer a variety of different types of posts for you to chose combined with 3/8″ or 1/2″ tempered safety glass.
Standoff Railing System
This innovative railing system is truly elegant for both residential and commercial applications. It utilizes a compact design mounting system for minimal obstruction. This railing system is custom designed to meet project specific criteria, using heavy duty stainless steel standoffs mounted to an approved substrate and 1/2″ tempered safety glass.
